So...in 24 hours we'll be on the plane headed for Heathrow. (No, neither of us are packed yet. And no, neither of us are particularly ready).

Me: Off to Russia to continue my Honor's Project research. Saint Petersburg is the first stop, to interview Konstantin Markovich Azadovsky who spent 1981-1983 as a political prisoner in the most notorious prison camp in Russia, Kolyma. Then, 4 days on Solovetsky Island: home of the first GULAG prison, and within 150km of the arctic circle. Finally, it's back to St. Petersburg, New York and Bowdoin.

Allison and Ellen landed in St. Petersburg, on time, at 8:15 a.m. Eastern Standard time on Thursday. I know this because I've been tracking their flight(s) all night. What else does a left-behind dad have to do?
